Compressed Sensing GRE and EPI PTx: A Journey Towards Faster and Homogenous 3D Imaging

Dr. Arun Joseph, PhD

Siemens Healthineers & Translational Imaging Center

Thursday, March 03 2022, 17:00

· CPD

Magnetic Resonance Imaging offers us a wide spectrum of contrasts, which promise to reflect various functional and physiological characteristics of living tissue. In this seminar talk I will focus on interactions between living tissue (myelin and deoxyhaemoglobin in particular) and static magnetic fields. While I will present examples from neuroimaging, you will quickly notice that some methods can also be extended to other body parts. In the second part of the talk I will flip the picture and talk about a technique which has been increasingly used to probe hemodynamics in cardiac MRI and now finding its way into measuring

intracranial flow. Throughout, I will discuss relevant advantages of ultra-high fields for the introduced techniques, and of course of possibilities to conquer the respective challenges. In short, I will use this opportunity to introduce myself by giving an overview of my scientific background and the goals of my project @sitem-insel.

The lecture will be held as a zoom meeting, please connect using:
