Quantitative 3D MRI of degenerative hip disease from an animal model to clinical routine

      Dr. Florian Schmaranzer MD, PhD

Department of Radiology, Inselspital Bern/Bern University Hospital

      Thursday, February 2 2023, 17:00

      · CPD

Quantitative imaging of cartilage in premature degenerative hip disease yields great potential for improving surgical decision making but is challenging from an acquisition and post-processing perspective alike. The talk will discuss how large animal models can act as a translational platform for quantitative pulse sequence validation and how deep learning methods can speed up and enable a more holistic analysis of joint derangement and morphology.

The lecture will be held as a zoom meeting, please connect using
