· CPD

Over the past three decades, modern imaging techniques such as CT and MRI have become increasingly common in post-mortem forensic medicine. Both methods have specific strengths and weaknesses for post-mortem diagnostics. While forensic postmortem CT is now well established, the future of forensic post-mortem MRI is still uncertain. This presentation will highlight the fundamental strengths and weaknesses of postmortem forensic MRI, outline current examination standards, present some of our own research projects, and discusses potential future developments.

The lecture will be held in sitem-insel (Room O2.211), Freiburgstr. 3, Bern followed by an Apéro and discussion and boroadcast virtually via Zoom at
